Production of fruits can be increased by focusing on commercializing high grade, high return fruits for both domestic and export markets. This includes mangosteen, pineapple, papaya, watermelon, mango, jackfruit, guava, lime, banana and new commodities like pithaya. More cultivation areas will be developed on top of improving on existing production sites, all towards boosting productivity.
Livestock herding to produce beef, mutton, chicken, duck, and quail meat will be promoted, with the aim of fulfilling market demand. Farmers, entrepreneurs and the private sector will be encouraged to actively participate in raising commercial and modern livestock farming. More suitable and strategic areas will be developed for this purpose, including intensive and feedlot farming. More farmers will be encouraged to produce chicken, duck and quail meat as a side activity to increase their income. Assistance will be given in the form of coops, feed, and consultancy
Fresh water, irrigation channel and dam aquaculture will be encouraged to increase the production of fresh water fish, and raise income of participants. Focus will be given to high value fish like the mahseer, silver catfish, bagrid catfish, normal catfish and St. Peter's fish. Encouragement will also be given for farming decorative fish like goldfish, koi, discus and dragon fish. Assistance will be given in the form of cages, and fish feed.
