AREA FARMERS ORGANIZATION(PPK)
Area Farmers Organization (PPK) are institutions owned by farmers, which were established under the Farmers Organization Act 1973 (Act 109). The Director General of the Farmers Organization Board (LPP) is the Registrar for all Farmers Organization in Malaysia. Under Section 7 (3), the Farmers Organization Act yields a portion of its powers to the General Manager of the Kemubu Agriculture Development Board (KADA) as its Registrars Representative for all Farmers Organizations in the KADA region. Within KADA currently, there are 13 PPKs which have been established.
The direction of the PPKs are governed under several laws including the Farmers Organization Act 1973 (Act 109), Farmers Organization Regulations 1973, Farmers Organization Constitution and for time to time, the Registrars Instructions.
The objective in the establishment of the PPK is to increase the economic and social status of farmers, to increase their knowledge and skill, to improve their production output and yields which would subsequently boost their income, and improve the quality of life for their community in general, as part of a greater, more progressive, independent, prosperous and united society.
Role of the PPK
The PPK is not a fully business-oriented institution per se, in fact the main role played by the PPK is to further the development of its members through the services and commercial sector utilizing 3 Core Principles: The Cooperatives Principle, The Business Principle and The Services Principle. The scope of service for the PPK is for members only as provided under Article 8 of the Farmers Organization Constitution. On general, the role of the PPK is as follows;

|Boost the rapid growth of the agriculture sector via the reorganization of agriculture|
|Increase the commercial business and the growth of the PPK investment.|
|Increase the socio-economic status and quality of life enjoyed by farmers and their families.|
|Balance the growth of the plantation and industrial sectors through the development of agro-based industry in rural areas.|
The administration of the PPK consists of seven (7) Directors Council Members (AJP) who are nominated from among the members of the PPK once every two (2) years and serving as the main policy maker. The PPK Management Team meanwhile serves as an executor of policies and consists of KADA personnel who are place in the PPK, including the General Manager and several other staff. Apart from that, the PPK also funds several of its personnel to help facilitate the management of the PPK.
